Bow Sanctuary Labyrinth Dedication Celebration

  • Bow Sanctuary Wellness Center 3533 Chuckanut Drive Bow, WA, 98232 United States (map)

Historical records reveal that labyrinths were used by ancient civilizations for sacred rituals, as protective devices, and as a tool to seek guidance. Based on the oldest known labyrinth, the Bow Sanctuary labyrinth embodies both the essence of tradition and the spirit of modern wellness practices.

Measuring an impressive 39’ x 42’, Kristen Winn designed this labyrinth with the desire to combine both male and female energies. Built over a six-week period with the generous hands of a tiny and mighty volunteer team, the square form and rounded corners of the Bow labyrinth provides a welcoming space to connect with nature, yourself and the community. It’s further supported by decades-old fruit trees, cedar, and Douglas Fir and stands as a testament to the timeless allure of this art form.

Join the Bow Sanctuary Wellness Team and Kristen for a Dedication Celebration Friday, Sept. 22. There will be a brief introduction to labyrinths, self-guided labyrinth walks, an opportunity to participate in a simple ritual, and hot cider for kids and adults alike. Bodyworker Liz Durkin will raise our collective vibrations through the restorative harmony of a crystal bowl sound bath during the walking portion of the evening.
